In 2007 Aaron Marshall, Coquessa Jones and Pamorn Martdee ventured to Fairtex in Pattaya whilst staying in Thailand; Invited by the World Famous ‘Beautiful Boxer’ Nong Toom a good friend of Pamorn; the trio were to spend a rare 2 days and night tasting what Fairtex training and luxury was all about.
Upon arrival to the bustling busy streets of Pattaya it was jaw dropping when the huge building came into view…An almighty resort with the label that is ever growing and rapidly making a name for itself throughout the world of sports today-Fairtex.
This place is probably one of the best places in the world if you want to indulge in 5 star luxury accommodation, tennis, basketball, fitness facilities, swimming pools and of course Muay Thai all in the one time! It is absolutely complete and houses some of the greatest fighters today including Steve Wakeling, Nareupol, Kaew, Nong Toom, Attachai and newest Contender Asia and WBC Muay Thai World Champion Yodsaenklai Fairtex.
Training was a nerve wracking experience; to start off with the three began their training,
Unfortunately all other stars had already finished for the day… Nong Toom watched over them carefully lending a helping hand here and there.
It was only until the next day that the three got to first meet Yodsaenklai and Co.
Having the opportunity to train alongside them in the ring and watch the ‘Computer Wizard’ and his golden left kick and left hook in action.
Pamorn took on both Nareupol and Attachai in grappling and learnt a few new tricks in doing so! All were very friendly and at the same time very amusing…Especially Yodsaenklai! -The funniest thing about him was that he had never ever seen himself on the internet (namely Youtube) in his whole lifetime; even though there were thousands of fan made highlights of him kicking ass!
Pamorn took him into the internet café and typed in the search bar and played some videos away. Yod was absolutely awestruck and at the same time couldn’t believe his eyes at what he was seeing!
The time came to say goodbye and the experience of making new friends with the Fairtex trainers, Yodsaenklai, Attachai, Yodvisanu and Nareupol was all the part rewarding.
All had such a bright, charming and caring nature and taught the three some excellent new tricks of the trade that would sure come in handy…

Yodsaenklai is one of the biggest stars of Muay Thai today. A former Lumpini Stadium and Toyota Marathon Champion, Yodsanklai is the current reigning WBC Muay Thai Champion. He currently fights for the Fairtex camp, he's a dynamic south paw fighter who's known for his technical and methodical fighting style. He has a 131 wins, 64 Losses and 3 draws.

Stage set for Buakaw-Yodsaenklai showdown

All eyes were on the Thailand’s Muaythai glamour fighters Yodsaenklai Fairtex and Buakaw Por Pramuk at the fifth K-1 Max held at the Yokohama Arena, Japan.
Buakaw (24) - the winner of the tournament championship in 2004 - won the event for the second time and became the first-ever fighter to win the title twice.
Yodsaenklai - the WBC Muaythai world champion - made his first appearance on a K-1 Max card in a separate contest that saw him outclass Germany’s Kamal El Amrani. The win sets the stage for a titanic match-up between Yodsaenklai and Buakaw, the two Thai Muaythai superstars.
K1-Max rules don’t allow clinching, grappling or elbow strikes and sets a maximum weight limit of 70 (154lbs). Buakaw defeated K1-1 Max Champion Andy Souwer (26) of Holland in the tournament final winning $175,000.
The first ever K-1 Max champion Albert Kraus of Holland lost to Armenia’s Drago who went down to Buakaw in the second semi.

Two WBC MUAYTHAI World Titles will be staged in Las Vegas at Stardust Casino on 19 August. USA superstars Clifton Brown and Marvin "The Beastman" Eastman will fight for the WBC Muaythai World Heavyweight Title and on the same card, Thailand 's undefeated WBC World Super Welterweight champion Yodsaenklai will defend his title against Australia 's legend warrior John Wayne Parr.
The Las Vegas WBC MUAYTHAI extravaganza is a focus event for the thousands of Thais who are celebrating the 60 th anniversary of HM the King's accession to the throne. Both world championships will be broadcast by ESPN through USA and Latin America as well as live to Thailand.
The match-up between Yodsaenklai and John Wayne Parr is the second time these fighters will contest a WBC world title.
Yodsaenklai scored a one point victory over JWP on Australia's Gold Coast to take the title. Parr then went up a weight division to fight Steve Wakeling for the world Middleweight title which Wakeling won in a split decision.
I'm a better fighter as a Super Welterweight. I can make weight without any problem. I am ready to fight Yodsaenklai. It will be a war for sure."

Firstly you are 19 years old now, how old were you when you started your Muaythai career?
I started out after watching my older brother fight, when I was 8 years old.
How many fights have you had so far in your career?
I can’t remember exactly to be honest, but it would be somewhere between 150-200 fights.
Why did you decide to start fighting?
I first started because I enjoyed watching my brother fight, but also because where I am from is a very poor part of Thailand and I wanted to help my family.
Who is your favorite fighter that inspired you to be the fighter you are today?
That would be my current trainer and former Lumpini stadium champion and Petchyindee promotions star, Sanklai Sitkruu-od
You have already packed a lot into your career at an early age, how long do you think you will carry on for?
Well it will depend on if I can still fight at a competitive level and how long my promoter is willing to match me. But I hope to carry on for at least another 6 years.
What has made you most proud so far in your career?
Winning the Toyota D4D commonrail tournament.
Who has been your toughest opponent so far in your career?
That would be Orono Majestic gym who I have fought twice losing both fights.
Who would you most like to fight right now?
I don’t care to be honest! I will fight whoever my promoter puts in front of me.
What is your favorite style of fighter to meet in the ring?
I prefer to fight boxers with a Technical style like mine.
What is your least favorite?
I don’t really have one, I can adapt to any style.
Right now you are growing fast and rapidly moving up the weight divisions, it’s getting hard to find a good opponent for you to fight in Thailand, would you like to try at fighting abroad in something like K-1 MAX?
I would love the chance to fight in K-1 or any similar tournaments.
You have very good hand skills for a Thai fighter, would you like to try your luck at International boxing?
Yes I would, it is definitely something I am looking towards for the future.
What are your hopes for your future in your boxing career?
I would like to win a W.B.C world title in international boxing.
What about after you have hung up your gloves, what do you see yourself doing?
I would like to be a policeman.
Do you have any sporting interests outside of Muaytahi?
Yes I follow football closely especially Man Utd.

On the 23rd of August in Nakon Sawan province Yodsanklai Fairtex put on a show for the local crowd, as part of a joint W.P.M.F Muaythai and W.B.C International boxing show.Yodsanklai's opponent was Rasmus Zoeylner from Denmark, who has been competing regularly in Thailand for nearly a year now.
Rasmus proved right from the first bell that he was not intimidated by the fearsome reputation of Yodsanklai and he was looking to cause a big upset, when he came out firing, looking to hurt Yodsanklai with hard punches.Yodsanklai just soaked up the pressure at first, before starting to reply with hard, accurate left roundkicks.
From round 2 onwards Yodsanklai took over, with an awesome display of power punching and kicking. Yodsanklai landed with kick after kick that often sent Rasmus staggering back across the ring and dropped Rasmus in round 3 with some sharp, accurate punches.
Rasmus to his credit, never stopped coming forward and trying to win the fight, but Yodsanklai was just too strong and powerful and cruised to a points win.
